Our Story

Established in 1994 at the launch of the Courtyard, Sheringham; Mary Kirby opened up her first shop The Sewing Room.   She soon was established as a local business lady which stocked lovely gifts and as popularity grew she extended then moved to the bigger premises we currently are in at 32 Station Road and rebranded as Miss Madeleine's Giftware Emporium.  

I took over in April 2018 and built on the legacy of my Mum, expanding and adding popular ranges to our shop.  We have two floors of unique home and giftware in the centre of Sheringham.  Known as a destination for our Tintin collectables and quickly  becoming the go-to in North Norfolk for Snoopy, Gruffalo and Moomin.  We champion local suppliers alongside national and international quirky brands. 

The team of 8 gift consultants are dedicated to giving excellent service and making sure the customer leaves super happy and smiling.  

Recently we have relaunched our website and are continually adding to it, helping those that don't live nearby to continue to shop!
